Both these vintage sconce backs and especially the slip shades are embellished with stylized organic flora symbolizing the optimism of rebirth following the great depression. There also seems to be a slight nautilus feel in the edges of the shade and the repeating wave like patterns along the sides of the back. Original nickel finish has been polished to a nice sheen.
