Vintage department store electric ceiling fixture with crystal glass bottom. The uniqueness of the milk glass upper section, which evenly disperses the light throughout the room, and the crystal glass bottom section, which directs light to the work surface below, makes these perfect for over a kitchen island or bathroom counter. There is an expandable metal band which captures the bottom glass and allows for the bottom crystal to be removed for changing the light bulb. The stepped design, commonly called wedding cake in these types of fixtures, along with the vertical ribs, the 8 sided design, the different types of glass, the metal band around glass, and the round pieces of glass in the bottom crystal all make for a compelling visual fixture. Shown on a flush mount fitter but it can be chain hung or pole mounted if a longer drop is needed. Alterations to the fixture as shown may be subject to a cost equal to our material costs only.
