Amazing example of Early 20th Century Design . Late 20s to early 30s antique slip shade chandelier with Tudor and Art Deco influences. We had not seen this fixture before we acquired this one; we know it is from an American manufacturer so it must be a rare one indeed. This vintage lighting fixture retains its original finish and patina which we would call a faux pewter. Heavy in weight, as most of it is made of cast iron. It is designed after the Tudor & Gothic cathedrals of Europe with stylized Flying Buttresses and rib vaults. It is another example of how designers in the early part of the 20th Century were able to create a work of art which appeals to a wide range of market tastes, in this case from Art Deco to Roman Gothic.
