Playful detailing often seen in Revival and Storybook designs of the 20s and 30s, like these serpent heads with their webbed feet sticking out the sides of the body. Refinished to match original colors including the orange eyes of the serpent and orange star in the shield, and blue inserts in the 4 diamond on each side. Original crackle glass shade in excellent condition with no noticeable chips and no cracks. Perfect for hallways and out of the weather covered verandas. Just the body is 16 1/2 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide. Overall drop is 26 inches. Drop can be adjusted. Rewired to UL standards including the code required ground wire (darkened) seen weaving up through the chains. Refinishing including taking the bronze down to bare metal and building up a hardened patina to match original.
