Made by Max Schaffer of New York in the late '20s or early '30s. Heavily influenced Art Deco designs adorn both the vintage fixture and original glass shades. The cast iron sconce backs have been recently re-plated in their original polished nickel finish. The shades are unique in that they are not open in the back as most shades of this genre were, as seen in the close up image of the fixture. The recognizable deco floral designs are repeated in the glass slip shades, the body of the fixture, as well as in the ceiling canopy.
