Vintage 1930s Viking Ship wall lighting sconce. It is in its as-found condition with original finish and patina. Solid, heavy, cast bronze which has aged to a wonderful golden hue. From the Revival era of the '20s & '30s where American designers found inspiration (as well as training) in the European culture. These are a rare acknowledgement of the Norse influence in vintage American light fixtures.
Perfect for one of those Maine summer getaway cabins, overlooking the Atlantic towards Norsk Land.
