Vintage flush mount ceiling fixtures designed for the low ceiling Ranch style and Mid-century homes of the '40s and '50s. Classic and pleasant design. A very low profile at only 5 1/2 inches and wide enough at 12 inches to house two 60 watt light bulbs. Don't be fooled by their innocent retro demeanor, though, as they could easily find purchase in a cottage style kitchen or seaside bungalow.
The pressed glass is thick and sits atop a full ceiling plate with about a one inch reveal of polished aluminum frame. Glass is secured with 4 brass screws. The glass has white fired on painted sides and clear bottom with the paint and glass all in excellent condition. With a low ceiling it is wise to choose a fixture which will shield your eyes from the direct glare of the bulb, which would happen with clear glass sides.
